Try it out...you can always Revert Back to a Previous Firmware if it doesnt fit your workflow
I think like a MPC. A program is a tool. If the sculpture don't look right, Don't blame the chisel..

Bugs/ crashes are unacceptable in hardware. I expect limitations with hardware but a smooth experience is crucial . . . . . . hardware with bugs will quickly be replaced by software.

The blur between hardware and software happened a long time ago... given that most modern hardware is built on computer hardware and software... I'm not dying on that hill.

Hardware is Linux based. That line been long gone.
From 2.9.0 to 2.9.1, reset preferences afterwards, 2.9.0 projects load up without problems.
No other issues noticed (yet).

The software game is RIDICULOUS. I am consistenly hit by ads for stuff that is very tasty. I stick with my MPC and groovebox with their limitations b/c of the smooth experience. If my MPC starts crashing & bugging out all the time, I might as well step up to power of ableton with VST/plugins.

All good here. If I wasn't using this piece of software in a box, Id be working on another piece of software in a box with its own set of issues. This one checks the most boxes.

I really wish Akai / InMusic would communicate these maintenance updates better. Has anyone found the release notes??!
