Hello wise people of the Internet,

I'm getting more and more familiar with the MPC One but one think really bugs me - and I wonder what I'm missing here.

I like to play my synth while muting/unmuting my tracks on the One. I learned how to record synth loops on the fly but I wonder how I can assign my recorded audio to a pad/track. I know that it already has its own track when I record it, yet this track is not shown when I turn to track mute. There I only see the tracks I created within the MPC.

Is there a way to mute & unmute what I recorded with my synth? Do I have to do it at the sampler page or am I just blind? Also - apart from the muting question - how can I assign what I recorded to a pad?

Thanks a lot for reading :)

I've never used an audio track before but I did it just to help with this one.

I recorded my kybd to an MPC X audio track. Once recorded I went back to MIDI (main menu bottom left).

The kybd recorded audio is in the same pool of samples that your drums are in.
You can assign "Audio 001_Rec1" to a pad in a DRUM program right along with your drums/samples. :-D

TRACK MUTE screen shows only MIDI tracks not AUDIO tracks.

I know what it is and what it does, just never cared about it. Never used AT’s in Triton or Kronos either, I just never cared.

I DID use AT’s for vocals on ASR-10 back in the day though.
