So... I did a thing cus I wanted know if it'd squeel.

I attempted to feedback loop my mpc one and mixdeck express. Mixdeck xlr -> mpc TS in. then mpc master out to mixdeck 3rd channel in. Volumes up, unmuted, sampler volume up. The only thing that happened is the tone thickened up. What magic is this? I've never seen anything cancel a feedback loop! It should be SQUEEEEEELIN' LIKE A PIG.

Feedback loops not necessarily squeel, this is highly dependant on the parts used, especially filters like the (mostly) required anti-aliasing filters. Other than that, resonances can occur very low key or in inaudible frequency ranges.

That thought had occured as well, that I just because I couldnt *hear* it didn't mean it wasn't happening. In theory the carrier signals are still looping regardless of if there is an audible oscillation occuring or not.

I guess I have a question then, will a feed back loop damage circuits on modern equipment or will resonance just find its zenith before that point?
