I sample into the Live, make keygroup programs, save them- load into Wavelab for processing- bad headers!
Are others having this happen? Someimes it resets sample key#z to C3!
I don't have a clue. Is this a known thing?
Thanks!

What Sample Rate are you saving the Keygroups? Sometimes Wavelab does that to some of my samples from other programs. Its definitely a Wavelab thing

Yeah happens to me every time Ive copied a sample off the internal storage and tried to do anything with it elsewhere. Wavelab freaks out on them, but it will rebuild them ok. First time I noticed this was sometime last year, copied some samples from the MPC onto an SD Card and then tried to load them into my EMU E6400, wouldn't touch them. That was when I decided I was going to have to actually sample everything into the EMU from the MPC and make new loop points/edits/etc.. Its Akai's janky way of doing headers. Dont have this problem with any wav file that uses standard metadata and info headers, whether its entered in Logic, Audio Finder, ACID, Reaper, Myriad, etc.. Take anything that's been touched by an MPC and its completely ****. They seem to open up fine in apps like Myriad and Audio Finder though, but there is no metadata shown for any of them in either app, so it looks like Akai is doing something 'their own way' that freaks out certain apps and hardware.

Hey! Thanks for the thoughts. I do everything 24/44.1
Thing is for me, when MPC messes them up, it will relocate all the samples to #C3. That means I have go through a cycle of resetting them by hand so I can produce a playable instrument.
I just got Logic last month and am starting to use that to sample, then convert for the mpc when it's all final (until I get into having to re-tweak parameters for the XPM and resave). Hopefully, I wont!
Thanks again.

what touches me is you first make a KG and then save the sample?
normal procedure is other way around, no?
what if you sample and immediately save it (from the sample window)
will it then be read OK by Wavelab?
