Live 2 - Static fizzle on qlinks

Guys, I have noticed something super weird, that I do not recall ever having experienced on any one of the other MPCs (tried the Live1 and One).
Whenever the device is on and I touch one of the qlink knobs, I hear a static crackle sound coming from them. This is not through the speaker but coming directly from the knobs. Also doesn’t happen when the device is off, only when it’s powered on.

Has anyone experienced anything similar, or has an idea what I am dealing with here?
I assume there’s a small current going through the qlinks, since they’re touch sensitive, but I am not sure it’s supposed to fizzle...

Yea I notice it. Its the Capacitive Material reacting to your fingertips. Basically your last paragraph explains it well.

I believe they increased the capacitance on the newer models. Bcz there used to be problem with the Knobs being intermittently sensitive

Touch the grounding part of a radiator, then try again. This really sounds like badly grounded signals or similar, static charging or „grounding loops“ (Brummschleifen).

Are you sure that this is intended behavior? All the other controllers I know do seem to work without giving small electric shocks to their users.
Grounding didn't help btw.

Lol...That lil shock shouldnt hurt much...Unless you have a Heart Condition

I've had the Touch, Live and I now have the Live 2 as well as a Force. Never, ever, in my entire time of using these devices have the Q-Link knobs buzzed, fizzled, or shocked or even tingled when touching them, either on battery or on mains. Your hardware is defective, I'm afraid. That is absolutely not intended behavior!

I can hear a lil crackle on my Live 2 sometimes when i first touch them. Nothing too big or annoying. I just chalked it up as normal reactiveness lol. Hmm Maybe me and this guys MPC are defective?

But then again...im use to my knobs being NOT as reactive on my other MPCs. So i embrace that lil Crackle

Actually I have the same issue on my MPC One (bought in August 2020), but thought it was "normal" so never bothered about it.

No, fizzing/buzzing or crackling sounds when you touch your Q-Links is NOT normal behavior that is intended. Yes they are capacitive, but they most certainly shouldn't make any noise when you touch them. That said, if you haven't had any trouble or hardware failure over the years, you're probably OK. But anyone who bought a new one? I'd send that back, stat!

i only have a minor issue when i touch and turn the Master volume knob, it only happens the first time i touch it, the volume dips for a micro second, after i can turn it up or down without any issue

i get alittle fizzle also on the master volume knob. not all the time but only at first and goes away quickly.
