Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone is able to answer the folowing. I have an MPC X and really crave portability and so am looking to invest in a live 2. Im hoping to be able to work on the same projects on both devices (in standalone ideally), so that is, I hope to be able to use the existing MPC expansions I have installed on my X, in the Live 2 without having to pay for them again (if that is legal? Im guessing its an account thing rather than a device thing if the live 2 is also registered to me?). Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
MJ.

Go For It. You can Copy The Expansions from Unit to Unit. The X is definitely designed to stay in the Studio. All the Newer MPCs use the Same Firmware. So they're interchangeable

Yep, should be good as long as they‘re both registered to the same account. License contracts are between Akai and you, not between Akai and your device. To be sure, check the respective expansion‘s EULA if multiple installations are allowed. Legal schmegal.

I suggest not to register at all Live2 ,so if you decide to sell the X or the live later you can give the software unregistered (and keep the account with the software and expansions)
