MPC ONE Standalone Mode, and MIDI export

I have just got my MPC ONE, created a lovely chord sequence on the Keys plugin and now I want to export this MIDI info into my DAW (Reaper) so that I can add it to an almost completed full song that I made before the MPC arrived.

I've seen a couple of posts saying I can't export MIDI from standalone mode. Well that is awful, but nevermind, I'll try downloading the MPC software and exporting from controller mode, saving the MIDI file and putting it in Reaper.

Downloaded the MPC software, put it in controller mode, changed Keys plugin track to MIDI, pressed a pad, MIDI received, great I thought, I'll export.

I am then to find that I can't open the project that I made in standalone mode in controller mode.

What is going on? Please tell me there is a way around this? This is basic basic stuff surely.

Standalone project should load fine in the MPC Software as long as it's the same version (e.g. 2.9.1 for latest standalone/software). Cannot think why it wouldn't work for you, I do it dozens of times a day. Are you getting an error message?
