Unwanted "flam" issue when playing pads

Hi everyone, I just recently got an MPC Live 2, and I keep getting an issue where a pad will trigger a sample more than once with a single touch and create a type of flam effect. What is causing this and how do I get rid of it, as it's making it hard to record anything properly. Cheers.

Your fingers are laying into the pads for too long. Learn to tap and get up off the pad. After more playing you will get the hang of it and will NEVER hear this again unless you intentionally want it.
