I've scoured the earth but I can't find any info on this error message. It's complaining that I did not eject a storage device called "MPC LIVE" and that I should next time. It's popping up every 10 seconds or so, making the MPC Live into a paperweight. I've never connected an external HD to this thing in the short 2 month window I've owned it, so I'm pretty confused as to why. I don't think it's complaining about the internal storage either.

I tried doing the "soft reset" found in the settings/Info page, and I reinstalled the latest firmware onto it today, but it's still harassing me. Anything I can try before I say goodbye to MPC forever?

I bought it used so I'm worried that I am SOL on this.

When you use the MPC in controller mode, it is mounted as a file system on your computer. You have to eject it before powering off or going into standalone mode. If you are seeing the message randomly, I would suspect the cable may be your problem.
