MPC One updates

I didn't wanna bother at first but since the Akai customer service is literally no help at all, maybe someone here has advice. I have the Mpc one but I haven't been able to update it since I got it like a year ago, and since then it has been back and forst with Akai but no solution. anyways the problem I am having is that when I update it via my laptop I get the message 'plug in power cable' which ofc I have bc it's an MPC one, but when I do it via a harddrive or usb I get the message 'an error occurred'. feel like I've tried everything but if somebody knows what's up with this or has some things I can try let me know
