Anyone using this interface without problems?

Yes, but I think you have to discuss it in another thread.

I have gen 3 and gen 2… gen 2 seems fine, recorded entire tracks using all 8 ins.

iConnectAUDIO2+ - all 18-channels passThru USB streaming to Cubase 10.5 with no problems so far. Really glad I finally picked this one, setting up is simple and straightforward really. Just drag all USB2 (MPC) to corresponding USB1 (PC) in iConfig, after enabling 32 outs in MPC, and its done!

This is a linux (what all the modern devices run on live, one, force, x etc) specific issue. The fix is out there though and it is just a matter of time when it goes to the official linux kernel release and then when akai decides to update their kernel version.

Thanks for sharing this. I suspect that all the audio interface issues that folks are seeing are going to end up being some combo of buffer size and Linux driver support. I really hope Akai can work this out, or rally the manufacturers to do so in cases where it's outside Akai's purview. Such a shame that this awesome feature is buggy.

Correct - 44.1Khz support is table-stakes for this feature to even attempt to work. And then there's a whole minefield of compatibility issues waiting for you beyond the clock speed, as this forum thread exhibits in spades.

The Behringer ist clean, the focusrite gives me these little clicks when recording.
I got a replacement from focusrite and the same thing happens.

To date, I think the Behringer UMC 1820 is the only audio interface that I've seen people reporting is working reliably with Akai's USB audio interface support. What a joke.

Hello everybody.
I found this post by NickD from

https://www.elektronauts.com/t/mpc-thre ... 32978/6832

"I just tried my Zoom R16 and it seems to be working great after an initial hiccup (there’s no relevant switch on the back on mine, though).

My setup was MPC into Zoom via MIDI, and Digitone into the Zoom via audio.

You don’t need to power the Zoom separately, but if you do then use the USB button to start the audio interface mode. If you’re powered by USB you still need to start the interface, but you don’t need to push the USB button to get there.

Powered by USB, the Zoom will start up in 96khz mode, but as soon as you select it as the audio interface on the MPC, it’ll change to 44.1.

At this point the MPC’s audio will be coming through the Zoom’s headphones. The Zoom’s audio inputs will map to inputs 1-8 on the MPC, either individually or as stereo pairs. The internal mics can be activated for channels 7 and 8, and they work too. The gain knobs work but the faders don’t - and the Zoom’s buttons all send MIDI notes to the current MPC track. I’m not sure if the faders can be mapped to MIDI, I haven’t tried that yet.

I couldn’t seem to assign the MPC to anything other than output 1/2 on the Zoom.

My hiccup was that the first time I powered up the MPC, with the Zoom already in USB mode, the MPC seemed to freeze and wouldn’t move past the initial splash screen. I had to pull the power to reboot, and since then it’s behaved fine.

So from what I’ve seen here, the R16 does work as an 8 in / 2 out interface, which could be very handy. Not sure what version my R16 is on, but I can check if need be."

So plugged my r16 to my one and it seems that i have 8 seperate inputs to my One over usb.

My MPCX recognizes my Mackie profx30 V3 BUT once connected and recognized and after routing channels to the mixer no sound arrives to the Mackie. I know that the usb audio routing from the MPC is an experimental idea, and so far all the functionning mixers with this addition are the tascam mixers.
My question is the following. If you are witnessing the same problem as myself, did you find a way to fix it?
I will be very thankful for all your help guys and girls.

I use the gen 2 and get intermittent clicking issues. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's terrible. I can't figure out what causes it, only that it's certainly the USB connection. Over audio, it works flawlessly.

I've tried it with 32 inputs on and off. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

Oh and it works fine with Ableton Live over USB, so it's definitely a MPC One > USB > Scarlett issue.

Tested these devices on MPC One with 2.10.1 firmware:
- my *NOVATION ULTRANOVA* synth is unfortunately NOT recognized as USB device. I have resigned using legacy MIDI cables but USB is definitely broken for midi and its audio interface, unfortunately. I wish there was a way to make it work at least for the MIDI over USB.
- *ZOOM H5N* Audio recorder is perfectly recognized, both in Stereo and Multitrack (4IN/2OUT) modes.
- my old *ROLAND EDIROL UA-1EX* USB sound card (2IN/2OUT) is recognized too. Not useful for me but since I had it, it was worth testing.
