First note cut off if Timing correct strength < 100

I don't know how to resolve this. If I have timing correct off or the strength is any lower than 100 the first note is always cut off / removed. I guess because it ignores it if starts before the bar. Any way around it? No other software does this. Also, sustain pedal doesn't work if it's pushed before the bar starts either. Seems like something very basic.

Do you have "Place Events Recorded During Count-In at Start Point" switched off perhaps?
