Like, when I search new plugins under 'preferences', they scan but they say 'failed' next to them.
AutoTune, full iZotope suite, and others...
Any tips?

Try scan a few more time. That's what I did and eventually all turn up.

The scanner can be flakey. I've noticed that sometimes it will simply flat out refuse to scan a new plugin, so after a few attempts I eventually give up. But later a I might try installing a different plugin and magically the plugin that wouldn't scan previously is now there and working happily. Often happens with AU plugins.
