Arturia Keystep & strange behaviour???

Hi guys.

I have hooked up and routed all my midi synths and drum machines to the mpc live.

I’ve also attached a Keystep from its midi out to the correct midi in on the live.

Now for some reason when I play a note on the Arturia Keystep the note plays continuously until another is pressed then that note plays continuously and so on? If I press the pads on the mpc they play their note for as long as I hold the pad then when I let go the last note playing from the keystep is again playing?

The mpc pads are working fine. The keystep is giving me a hard time?

Does anyone know what is happening here?

Make sure the keyboard is not sending the same note in more than one midi channel. This confuses the MPC and other sequencers when they listen to all channels and merge everything to one channel after that.
