Logged in this morning to grab an updated copy of the manual and looks like Akai updated the Network MIDI Driver finally to v 1.4.4. Just installed it on my Big Sur Mac mini, the GUI is back, MPC is connected, everything is running.

Tested syncing MIDI clock over ethernet with Logic Pro as the master (Logic doesn't like being a slave, and I couldn't figure out how to make it one), great as usual.
Ableton Live 11, syncs with the MPC as the master, and vice versa, and Ableton Control mode works again!

Now I can get rid of these extra MIDI cables, and with the USB interface, all I have coming out of the MPC now are 3 USB cables and the power adapter. Nice and tidy..

Where did you get the 1.44 version. I only have the 1.41 version available to download for the live 2. I can get the live 2 connected no problem but the network driver drops after a short period of inactivity. Have you seen this?

BTW the date stamp for the 1.4.4 MIDI driver is 24th May 2021

Hah never noticed that before. I used to check my account multiple times daily to see if it had ever been updated and it didn't show up in my account until September! Thats about the time the mixers power supply went out so the MPC was out of commission anyways.
