Hey all!

I was wondering if there is a way to edit a track the same way it was possible on the MPC 1000.

To ADD, SUBSTRACT or SET specific value to ALL the notes of a track for velocity, or gate, etc.

Let's say I am happy with the different gate lengths of my notes but i want to ADD 15 to all of them without loosing the difference between one another.

I am missing something?
Thanks!

MPC X / MPC Keys61, Seq screen, in the track area, isn't there a track velocity value right there?
Does it work like your wanting? It's for the overall track. Did you try it? Did it work?

MPC X / MPC Keys61, Grid Edit, tap or highlight whatever notes, velocity at the bottom of the screen, data dial to change the values. Does it work like your wanting? Did you try it? Did it work?

tried both, thanks

from the seq [MAIN] screen, the number you see for velocity acts as only a percentage of the values played/recorded in the track

-if you happen to succeed to select all in [GRID], dial in (or plus/minus key) the right number, it is only a factor of the value already there - so if you got notes with different values, and you dial in low, you only go to zero (or 127 of that) of your lowest note (or your highest in case you dial up) - all the other notes retain their original factor to that lowest/highest note
-shame you can't enter a number for all selected notes (in [LIST EDIT] too btw)

edit : we'll i'll be damn ; if you wait a little in [GRID] and dial in low or high and wait long enough you can get all values to behave the same - eventually ; seems it needs a long time to adjust all the relative values one anther

I’ve done this in grid, it’s why I was asking.

But maybe I viewed it diff than op’s vision/version of it.

If you want to change the length relatively, select notes in the grid, select "EDIT END", turn on DON'T SNAP, and turn the dial 15 ticks. For Velocity, also select the "AUTOMATION" and turn the dial.
