RME Digiface USB Portable Digital interface

So I believe after reading the manual it is class compliant i was wondering this will work.. Digiface ADAT USB into the MPC.. then route the adat ins and outs into my motu 828es for 16 channels of digital outputs alone with the 8 analog into my daw...

Any thoughts?

Seen one reply on another site that this won't work just don't understand the whole craze over recording into a sim card the still transferring your stems to a daw why not just introduce mackie content the akai daw and call it a day just backwards to have an audio interface that not support which Is a long list of quality interfaces.. anyway maybe in the future the on board audio card can work over USB for at least 16 tracks into your daw standalone.. my thoughts..

Good evening! For a long time I have been looking for an audio interface that can function as a digital ADAT mediator for my MPC. The main reason is that I have a digital console with 24 ADAT channels and various audio interfaces that have ADAT connectors. It is a fact that the latest upgrade of the digiface usb can function after flashing as a class compliant device and I took the risk after a lot of research to buy it. So to the point. 1. It is recognized by the Mpc one plus that I have. 2. The Mpc one plus recognizes 8 playback channels and 4 recording channels if the 32 channel check function is not activated, and if activated it recognizes 32 channels in and 32 channels out. Unfortunately it does not recognize channels 33-34 which correspond to the headphones so NO headphones. 3 the MPC can only function as a master clock in collaboration with the digiface usb and only in 44.100hz sampling, so the devices that are going to be connected must lock to one of the Rme adat ports at 41.100hz. 4. The bad news. I opened 16 channels in the MPC and routed them to a Motu 896 mk3 that I own and recorded them with complete success without any problems (no clicks no drifting no pops) all great so far. However, when I opened a recording channel in the MPC so that I could route a synth which I connected to the analog input of the Motu so that I could route it and record it on the MPC then the symphony of the digital world began. Conclusions: A very. Good move by RME to upgrade the CC option which is compatible with the new era MPCs, multi-channel digital transmission is possible without problems but unfortunately in one direction either only sending or only receiving, the situation changes when the use is bidirectional.

It all has to do with the needs of each person and the way they work. The MPC offers me a main source of inspiration and implementation, but being an amazing sequencer it would be a shame not to take advantage of the rest of my external equipment, but this requires for me the parallel ability to record this equipment, including returning the fx units and the MPC to the computer. That's where the digiface usb comes in for me, which gave me the ability to communicate the MPC with external converters and the audio interface that talks to the computer. So the advantages. Ability to route any channel from the MPC to the Cue mix fx of Motu without time delay, the ability to process (compressors, EQ reverb.) and at the same time their parallel routing to fx. At the same time, the ability to digitally record 16 channels of the MPC into the computer and an additional 8 channels of external sources connected to the sound card as it has 16 ADAT channels + 8 analog pre amps. Imagine that the 32 channels offered by the digiface would allow extra routing to digital consoles or other adat converters which end up in analog consoles for further mixing and return to the base. Now due to the increased processing power of the updated MPC G2 models I noticed that I can digitally route any external source that comes to my Motu straight to MPC input without noticing problems with jitter clips and pops this was something very pleasant as I managed to record 32 bars without problems and it overturns my previous post. Some will say that the new G2 models have the ability to record 24 channels to the computer directly but let them take into account that it is only that and nothing more in relation to what I mentioned above.
