Hi.

I switch from Bitwig to the Mpc one. I used mainly midi clip to trigger my synths. What a pain to trigger midi pattern from the track mute, I have to touch a pad to mute a pattern and touch an another to unmute the next one? to have something Like the audio clip program...
I find a way to launch midi clip "quantize" as I expected, but I have to use an another sequencer, in my case using Bitwig (sending a note (that I 'midi learn') per pattern that mute/unmute them), it work perfectly as expect. But I try to find a way without a third party sequencer.

Did you have other idea to do it ? (without buying a gear or software more than 400€ used or new)

I know. I buy the MPC One in propose for the workflow that allow me to create song very easly, by creating sequence after sequence. I like it. Something the Akai Force can't do, even with the arranger mode which is not ergonomic in my opinion.
I try first to find a way WITHOUT BUYING THE AKAI FORCE. It's why I ask some idea with this constraint.

When I wrote "without an external sequencer" I though a midi learn thing with a third party midi controller.

I never though that the MPC One can do it by itself, I just explain the behavior that bother me AND that I LIKE THE WORKFLOW of the MPC One for creating song. I will keep it for that.
So my question is related to the expansion of the behavior of the MPC "AS IT IS", although I know it will be difficult or probably impossible. But for the "game", why not try ?

You know, one day I would travel for fun with my bike from Amsterdam to Den Haag. I ask a guy the direction of Den Haag, and he answer me : "It is better that you take the train", without pointing out the direction of Den Haag. You know, what, I traveled from Amsterdam to Den Haag with my bike on a couple of hours.

You are exactly like this guy.
So, if you have nothing else to write, just shut up !

The concept of 'midi clips' in an MPC does not exist. only midi sequences. So, trigger multi-track sequences? Yes, using 'next sequence mode'. Trigger single tracks of midi data (midi clips) like you can in the Force? No.

A workaround is to convert sequences to audio loops (export > audio mixdown) and then trigger the resulting loops ('audio clips') within a clip program.

BTW, please don't tell fellow members to 'shut up' when they are trying to help you.

It is a more interesting answer than just "it is a wrong gear, buy an other one"...

Sorry to say "shut up", but "ace_of_dub" just answer the same thing even I try to explain him that the gear I bought fullfill the reasons I bought it. Answer like : "You bought the wrong device." or "You say you know, but it changes nothing to facts." are not helpfull and very haughty. It is like he project their psychosis to me. People like him (what my parable refere) don't think about the "what if ?" question.

And if I bought the wrong gear, it is my problem, not his.

It doesn't change the fact that the MPC series IS NOT going to do what you want as of 2.10 period and that you cannot do what you want unless you get a sequencer that explicitly supports launching MIDI clips.

I'm not the problem here. There is no workaround. You already knew you could launch quantized audio clips anyway. I quote the OP

to have something Like the audio clip program...

So either get a Force(or any MIDI clip oriented sequencer) or go suggest AKAI they need to implement MIDI clips.

Just think about it "ace_of_dub".

There is no solution to your problem unless you face the realities of the MPC you bought. Putting my name is scare quotes won't change facts.
