MPC Live USB stick firmware 2.10.1 update

Hi,

My MPC Live currently runs on firmware 2.0.7. I should update to 2.10, but encountered a problem. I am trying to do the update via a USB stick.

I formatted the USB to ExFAT before putting the Firmware 2.10 on it. When i plug in the USB into the MPC Live and try to update, the MPC Live is telling me that "Are you sure you want to restart your MPC in update mode? You must download a firmware update from the Akai Professional website before you can update this unit." So it sounds like the MPC doesn't recognize the firmware that is on the USB drive.

USB stick firmware updates were not supported with 2.0.7. You'll need to update the firmware one-time by connecting the MPC to your computer and using the Mac/PC updater available from your Akai account. Once updated you will then be able to update by USB stick or online.

good to know if u cop an old dusty MPC X at some pawn shop
