Does anybody know of a reasonably easy way of creating audio previews for expansion packs that only include XPN files (like the Invious ones) without included previews?

The only way I can think of is to open each XPN, manually create a sequence using all 16 pads, export n MP3/WAV file into a Previews folder and save it using the proper file name.

Seems very laborious, especially for every one of up to 50 kits in any pack. Arghhhh!

Frankly it's such a pain I wouldn't buy expansion packs from companies that don't provide them packaged with proper audio previews but some of them have such great samples at reasonable prices I can't resist. But I'm not happy about it. :-(

Maybe Kit-Maker will add that feature in a future update?!

Here's hoping one of you brilliant folks has a solution.... :worthy:

Are there actually pro sample developers not providing program previews? It's just a pre-requisite IMO. Anyway, I do believe there is something somewhere that tries to create a generic preview, if not kit-maker then perhaps look at Amit's site: https://midi.amitszone.com/

Otherwise:

Fire up the MPC Software.
Load all 50 kits into your project.
On track 1 of a sequence create a track with the 16 pads played. Copy this to 50 tracks.
Assign a different program to each track.
File > Export > Audio Mixdown > Explode Tracks.
Rename each wav file accordingly (maybe with a script or app)

Or just use the one track, bounce to sample, then change the program, bounce, etc.

Or (shameless plug) buy proper MPC expansions with uniquely recorded program previews per instrument, sample tagging, memory optimisation, dedicated standalone installers, proper user guides etc:
