i seen this done on a couple youtube videos where they record from external keyboard into mpc live standalone via midi. i got my fa06 connected to the live via usb (tried midi cables to).
1. i have audio track armed with "in" selected. 2. back to midi tab i have midi track selected with the midi channel set to 1 the same as my fa06 and the midi port set to my fa06 or mpc A when midi cables connected.
3. i record my loop played from the fa06. cool everything fine but heres where my problem come in.
4. i switch to audio tab click record then play start and all midi notes get deleted. but on the youtube videos i watched when they press record then play start there midi notes not only dont get deleted but they also record to audio. what am i doing wrong? now i know i can just go to sampler and record it that way but i want to do it the way i seen on the tube because its a better and faster way. thanks in advance for any help or replies
