I want to load an old project.
Where can I see and access my old projects?
When I boot up my MPC Live II the screen only allows me to load either a 'recent project', 'project template' or 'demos'.
I'm sure there's a simple answer that I'm missing. Please help.
Just open an empty project (or any project for that matter), then double-click your Browse button (it's the Menu button), or shift-click your Menu button - that will open your browser. Tap the Project icon on your touch screen in the browser (it's the small paper icon with a "P" in the middle). Now tap your "Places" location to the left of your touch screen and navigate to where you saved your Projects. Find it and open it.
On an aside, under your MPC's Preferences => Project Defaults, if you have "New Project Dialog" set to "Demo/Template/Recent", as you work over time, all of your recent Projects will begin to populate the bottom of your screen when you first start up.
Final note: if you've updated to the most recent version of the MPC firmware, make sure you do a "Reset" preferences on the Info menu otherwise your MPC may act a little janky. And please - for the love of all that is holy - do
*NOT* use your MPC's built-in factory storage to save your Projects, samples, and Expansions. Install a proper SSD in the bottom and use that, or at the bare minimum use an SD Card or USB Stick...
