Which MPC firmware works with which MPC Software versions?

The Akai site is so horrible to navigate with broken links and terrible information, I can't find what I'm looking for, but possibly someone here knows how to figure this out??

The mac I use with my MPC is on High Sierra. OS 10.13, and the max I could go with the MPC software is 2.8.

My MPC Live is on firmware 2.10, Control 1.11, and I can no longer connect to my computer, it just says "looking for computer" and never connects.

So I assume I have to downgrade my MPC firmware in order to get back to a system that allows me to use the hardware to control the software. My guess is that it allowed me to upgrade my hardware beyond what was compatible with the older version of the software. I might be wrong about this though.

I can't find this info on the Akai site.

Even as a logged in user, I get links that look specific, but send me to a general support portal search page, but searching reveals nothing of value. If Akai were much much better at customer service, I might have more patience for this - but I'm now starting to think that my workflow needs to be based less on software integration, so I don't have to constantly keep up on things like this.

Does anyone know where Akai publishes all the compatibility information? Or even if they do?
Is it even possible to downgrade the firmware on an MPC Live?

You can't go any higher with High Sierra, I am on Mojave running 2.10 software and hardware mpx Live and MPC X, you would need to go down to 2.8
If you have a MAC pro 5.1 you can update to Mojave with Metal GPU.

Akai doesn't really publish compatibility info, certainly nothing regarding legacy MacOS compatibility, but as you have discovered. High Sierra is no longer supported for the MPC Software. Mojave is fine. And yes, you can downgrade the firmware, just install it over the existing firmware using USB disk or computer method.

BTW the firmware update system doesn't care (nor know) what version of the MPC Software you are running, hence why you were able to upgrade. But you should definitely run the same versions on both software and firmware unless of course you choose not to bother with the software or controller mode.

I think I will downgrade the hardware. Not sure what I will lose, but it might not matter if I can't sync things up.
