Has anyone tried using the Samples From Mars 909 kit, and imported the MPC 1000 program into an MPC Live, or MPC One?

I'm curious if the programs are multi-layered. Also curious if importing that format even works.

they load fine and i do believe some of the pads have multi-layers - but the mpc kits the sample pack come with are such a small selection of the total sounds. i ended up just making my own kits anyways.

Thanks for the info. I bought the samples and the MPC1000 kits did load.

I'm now going through and pruning what I won't use out of the kits and will probably end up doing as you say and make my own kits.

On a similar but different topic. My 809 plug-in no longer works. It was only usable in the MPC software anyway, but they should have ported it to the standalone. In any case, there must be something there which needs to be updated.

the 809 set is pretty weak in comparison. although ive got the 'all the samples' pack from mars - i found that the 'essential wav' pack that includes a pretty big selection of all the drum machines is a great fit for the mpc. the 909 pack itself is pretty massive, i usually only dive into it for the 'various' versions of samples. most of the time im using stuff directly from the essential pack because of how well its organized and the selection being managable.
