MPC One count in not functioning properly

So I set up my synths via usb for the first time tonight. Recorded my drums and count in worked fine. I messed around a bit with one of my synths and recorded some midi. Afterwards I noticed my count in wasn’t coming on even though it is turned on.

So I started a new project. Only had one track ready to record and nothing else set up. I get the count in for my drums (internal) ..I record a pattern and stop. Then I start I prepare overdub and there is no count in again.
