Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug? Please help me to understand.

I have two tracks, sharing the same plugin program. I want one track to be clean of any automation, and on the other track I have TRK: 7: Volume, TRK: 10: Pan & TRK: Pitchbend. My understanding was that this is TRACK level automation, affecting only this particular track. However, this automation affects the other track with that program as well, as if it is applied to the whole program.

I believe that's how it works. You are applying the automation on the program itself, the track is just a sequencer lane where these things are recorded, it's the program that is the synth/sample set/keygroup that the track is "playing".

You need to create a copy of the program of you want one version to be unaltered.
