Hey all.

Here's a two part about getting my MPC Live II to be compatible with Logic Pro on my laptop and also the MPC Software I've downloaded but am, somehow, unable to activate. Please help!

I'm fairly new to MPCs (At least the generation that talk to computers).
I've made a bunch of beats and, at the very least, need to export them.

Please, can anyone help me to connect my MPC Live II to my MacBook Air (Big Sur 11.6) laptop?

Ideally I want my MPC to be recognised by Logic Pro and work in seamlessly. Also I'd like to be able to use the MPC Software which I have dowloaded but am unable to 'Activate'.

Ideally I will be able to use the MPC with Logic Pro or at least the MPC Software.

I am very confused about how to do this. When I connect my MPC to laptop via USB cable, nothing happens.
I looked in 'audio preferences' in Logic but it doesn't recognise anything.

As far as the MPC Software goes, It needs an 'Activation Code' which I don't have. I've signed up to create an account but still nothing.
I'm not sure what iLok is but I'd be ok to pay for an account if I was guaranteed being able to have my laptop and MPC Live II work together.
But I'm not sure if this is necessary.
I don't even really know what iLok actually is or if I need it.

Can someone please advise me on the best way to at least get my beats off the MPC and at best have the MPC work seamlessly with Logic Pro and the MPC Software on my Mac.

Many thanks in advance and have a great day!
