MPC X stuck on Shutting down screen.

Hi all,
Bought a brand new MPC X a few months ago and apart from one occasion when an internal error message popped up all has been well... Until now!
The device is stuck on the Shutting down screen, i have no idea if it's a software or hardware issue.
As the unit is less than a year old, I'm tempted to return it under normal warranty guidelines but if anyone has some information that could help me, I will give that a try.

Why stick with a defective product? Just return it, period.

probably just a software issue... restore the rom. it's not a big deal, it sounds like the mpc software is having a hard time exiting maybe there's some screw up in your firmware image. restoring a clean image and resetting your preferences may help.
