Beginner Question: MPC X - no MIDI-out

I'm trying to trigger a handware synth with the MPC-trigger pads over DIN-MIDI, but no MIDI-singal seams to come out of the MPC.

I'm quite familiar with MIDI-stuff.

I have set up a MIDI-track on the MPC, I checked that it is the right output-port selected, the same MIDI-channel on the MPC and hardware synth, but no success.

Trying another contoller with the same MIDI-cable to trigger the hardware synth - it works fine!

Does the MPC have to be in "Controller Mode" to send MIDI out? I believe this mode is only for connection with a computer over USB, right?

What am I doing wrong, why isn't any MIDI-singal coming out of the MPC X?

I believe I have the same issue, and have to send my unit back - damned!

Or does anyone have a idea what I could try else?

I just tried this: interactive diagnostics available from: [Pad Bank A] + [PLAY] + [PLAY/START] + [Power On]
But don't know how to use it...

I made a foto of the interactive diagnostics screen, but can't seam to be able to load a picture up in this thread/forum...?
How does the "Insert image" - Button work? When I click it, there is no option to chose a file...

Use a free image host and place the URL to the image between the IMG tags. We don't directly host images here, too many copyright issues and extra hosting costs involved.

I tried it once more, suddenly it works, don't know why.

If it happens again, check 'Preferences > MIDI/Sync' to make sure the midi output is fully enabled (set to TRACK). (Assuming the actual MIDI track itself was configured correctly.)
