Excellent tutorial, man - new users should definitely give this a watch! :worthy: Tip: you don't have to software "eject" your SD Card (or SSD) when switching from standalone to controller mode (it's done automatically for you, and is the equivalent of shutting your MPC or Force down).

I've been building Keygroup previews for my JX-8P that I'm autosampling for about a month now. Usually I'll make a unique sequence for every preset, but that's proving time consuming. I might switch to your simple "riff" approach for all presets going forward (though I'm more than 50% done with my autosampling session out of 128 presets, so it might be weird if I just stop doing unique sequences). Hmmm... will need to give this some thought.

Awesome, thanks! I didn't know that about the ejecting in the software, and my consensus from people here was to eject everything all the time! haha. It doesn't hurt I guess. My reasoning for the riff is just to show the high and low range of the sample mainly. Jx8p is a great sounding synth btw. I was recently autosampling a ton of D50 patches (which can be difficult since it has 4 layers).
