gear : latest up to date MPC one

I chopped a sample using the threshold method.

I then want to turn it into a new drum program so I use the "new program using slices".

But when I record, as soon as I want to add a second layer of sound ( as in the second overdub), the sound comes out strangely, very faint or non existent at all.

I have made a private video that showcases the problem more clearly : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJQ4E6U3HQ

If you need anymore info don't hesitate. I am very new at this

Thank you so much for helping me

cheers

Chopped programs are monophonic by default, i.e. can only play a single chop at any moment in time. This works well if you are just effectively rearranging the order of a bunch of chops, but doesn't work if you wish to overlap chops. Simply go to 'PROGRAM EDIT > MASTER' and change POLY from 'Mono' to 'Poly' (bottom of the first column of params).
