Removing the air noise from vinyl samples.

Does anyone know of a good inbuilt effect in the MPC One/X/Live in standalone mode to remove the 'air' sound when sampling from vinyl without effecting the sound of the music? I'm not talking about any crackle and pops, but just getting rid of the general 'air' sound that you get when sampling in from LPs that are pressed up at lower volumes. Thanks

Air transient works well to tighten breaks up, use the sustain to add or take away. Works pretty well

The “air” is what makes it special. I suggest using that “air” instead of removing. I do use the built-in low pass filters sometimes to clean it up.

Otherwise, I rec u sample from CDs or WAV files

High Pass filter

I would think a Low Pass Filter

Or AIR ParaEQ....cutting the High Frequencies with narrow Q.

^This. You really have to get in there and get your hands dirty to get the sound you are looking for. There isnt a one size fit all solution because every sound source is a different, every tool has its plus or minuses. Understand your problem is an eq problem and that understanding the frequency range of different sounds is the the basis of removing or enhancing a sound source.
