Hello everybody,

I'm a proud owner of a Live 2 (OS 2.10.1) since a few weeks and currently struggling quite a bit with clip programs. (In the settings, the warp mode Pro-Ten is selected)

My goal is to export sample loops from Ableton, transfer them to the MPC and use them in clip programs for live performances. Additionally to the clip programs, midi- and drum programs will be running. During the live performance, the master tempo will be changed and thus the clip program has to stretch/shorten the loaded samples accordingly. The issue is, as soon as the tempo is changed, the sample will not be in time anymore.

For example:
I render a simple four to the floor kick drum loop from Ableton at 120 bpm, transfer it to the MPC and load it into a clip program. I'll dial in the correct bpm in the pad section of the clip program 'program edit', launch the clip and activate the metronome to validate the timing. As long as the master tempo is set to 120, everything runs fine.
When decreasing the tempo (i.e 118 bpm) each hit is not in time with the metronome anymore, even the first kick drum in the loop will be distorted. When increasing the tempo (i.e 123) the first kick is ok, but the remaining hits seem to fluctuate in tempo.

Do you have any recommendations to fix this issue or work around it? Although I can translate a part of my sample to drum programs, a few have to be used in clip programs as loops (e.g Vocals).

Any help is highly appreciated!

Best,
TRD

Warp is in the Program Edit (Samples Tab)

Try Setting it to Sequence Tempo instead of Master Tempo on the Main Screen. I never mess with it in Master Tempo mode.

See if that helps

Did you import your Ableton Live samples into your MPC Live II as a Clip Program, or as a Drum Program?
