Hi there, I couldn't find anything here or in the manual about this specific thing:

I am trying to use an external interface on my Live MK2. I also want to use the built-in speakers for playback at the same time.
To do so, I want to use the external interface as an input device, but not as output device. I want the input from the interface to get played out of the speakers in the Live mk2; or to record something in through the external interface, and play back through the built-in speakers, without changing the interface in the preferences pages.

Both ways don't seem to work, beause i can only choose the internal interface or the external one.
Anyone with a solution here?

I am using the Expert Sleepers ES-9, which does work fine on the MPC otherwise, if used as input AND output device. I am on MPC Live firmware 2.10

USB interface completely replaces the MPC's audio, this includes speakers, headphones and all I/O. It's one or the other ATM, don't know if Akai are able to change this in the future, but they probably first need to concentrate on fixing the crackles and pops that seem to occur with 99.9% of interfaces before they start getting all fancy :)

MPC Software/controller mode allows different input and output interfaces BTW, but that probably doesn't help you.
