Mpc one main button failure

Reason I ask is the main button has suddenly stopped working , it’s not often a tactile switch suddenly stops, they usually gradually wear out, there’s still a positive click and I still get led feedback when I select main on the touchscreen.

Is this on 2.10.1? Could you try reseting your preferences? Also remove any USB peripherals, e.g USB hub, audio interface, disks etc.

I've seen someone have the shift button light up but not work, he had to return it for a new unit. But this wasn't working out of the box.

Thanks for the reply , I have tried resetting prefs , yes I’m on 2.10.1, and yes I’ve tried everything unplugged. Not sure if it’s still under warranty, probably not coz I got it off of eBay , albeit hardly used.
It’s just odd that it’s suddenly stopped.
Edit ....I’ve had the back off and tested the switch and it’s ok. So, I’ve absolutely no idea what the problem is.

I have fixed the failed button on the Mpc one it was the solder pad on the circuit board that had come away from the board so the switch terminal was not connecting to the track . So it would seem the build quality of the board is poor . I have seen other examples of some switches not working when new . Akai have immediately replaced the unit.
Mine was out of warranty , it occurred during a session when the Mpc was switched on unused so the main led was on for a long time, so I’m guessing it got a bit hot a caused the solder pad to come away from the board.
