<MPC One> REC OP1 Audio over USB w/o OP1 as Audio Device?

Hi All. Would love an assist here which may or may not even be possible.

OP1 plugged into MPC One via USB
I want to record OPI Synths etc into an audio track via USB.
I can do so if i switch MPC audio interface to OP1 -- but lose ability to hear anything else?
When I switch MPC audio interface back to Internal I can't record OP1.

Is there a way to select USB input at track level or something?
I'm sure I'm missing something simple or maybe its just nor possible?

When you select an external USB audio device in the MPC, the internal audio is disabled. so you need to connect the MPC to the OP-1 with an analog cable.

To hear the input sound, press the shift + microphone button on OP-1 and select USB input using the blue encoder.
