Hi, does anyone do this and would they mind sharing their workflow?

I’ve got a lot of old projects I’ve produced in logic and I’m trying to import the drum midi stems into my mpc live2 but struggling somewhat.

If I export a whole song say 100 bars of midi drums as a midi file from logic and then bring them into into the live the midi notes are all over the place and on the wrong tracks so I guess I need to remap them all and I’m wondering if there’s an easy and faster way to do this rather than trying to work out what’s what and dragging everything onto the correct midi notes on the grid?

I’ve just downloaded and tried using the beats software and that seems like a program I’m going to struggle to get on with and I don’t particularly want to learn an entire new piece of software unless that is my only option of getting my logic beats into my live2 . Example I tried importing an entire songs midi drum track and all that showed up was 2 bars with about 5 notes on it yet if I drag the same file into a new project in logic it works just fine?

Any help is greatly appreciated

It sounds like it may be an issue with the Pad Mapping in the MPC. Remember that the MPC can map any pad to any more and visa versa.

Press the pencil icon on the right of the screen for your Drum Program. Then Edit Pad Note Map. Chances are you’ll want to use the Chromatic C1 preset at the bottom.

Good luck.
