Hey!

Can you setup multiple tracks for automation targetting the same destination track (note events)

So you can have a '' Trk1&2'' in 3beat and 4beat lane of various CC and then a' 'Ttk4'' do a 64bar track/lane for volume >> all targetting the same program or plugin on TRK5?

Thx!

When you automate you can choose to automate the program or pad.
Ie, everything in the same program with be affected. -> mixer or parameters.
Ie, only a single pad will be affected. -> mixer or parameters.

Below is a “program” automation. No matter the track, the one program is automated.
I did this standalone mpc, no external cc’s.

Unless I misunderstood the question or something.

Ok let try this encore..
Say:

Program: vocal break is on track 1 a 4bar with some cc automation..

simple enough

Can I now add track 2-5 all set to the same program with different bar lengths as automaton lanes affaecting Track 1 vocal break..

Like in a multi environment..

Similarly can this be done to a plugin..
So one track holds note events
Other tracks set to the same plugin do automation for that plugin

The application is polymetric cc and long fade /ins /outs ect without haveing to append the note track multiple times

Thx!

I’m thinking all tracks use same program. Put automation on that program.I said that up above but maybe I’m not explaining clearly.

Idk about the plugin deally.

On the MPC, tracks cannot have different length. The length is tied to the sequencer. So while you can sort of do what you're asking by having track lengths that are multiples of each other, you're not going to be able to have Track 1 be 4 bars, and Track 2 be 3 bars. The sequencer would need to be set to 4 bars.

That said, you could create Track 1 as 1 bar, then in the sequencer section, duplicate the length to 2 bars or 4 bars. I do this fairly frequently as a way to build up something more complicated than what you started with.

Only if the LENGTH parameter on the TRACK row in MAIN is set to 'Seq'. Change this to however many beats you want and this track length is now independent of the sequence length.

Holy Sh*t!

You can have different lengths within the Sequence! Right There In My Face

Dude, read the Bible..... Lol, joking.

BUT this kinda thing is exactly why I tell people to buy it or read the manual at least. Not only does the person answer their own basic questions but at the same time discover other features that they didn't even know they needed .....

I see and read things but I don't care to try everything cause many things I just don't use.
I can make anything I want without using even half of the things people in questions ask for in posts.
I know what I want and know how to get it.
