A question for the More Midi message minded X users
I've had an X for a couple of days,I'm a long time MPC4000 user for 20 years almost and been experimenting with the X to see if it does the type of things I use the 4K for eventually I shall cross over to the X and retire my 4K
Sadly I have had to return the X because of some Issues,One of the things I forgot to check before it went back, was does the X allow the recording and editing of System Exclusive Messages.
I know you can view the midi events in the list edit screen, but like on the 4k you can also insert and write your own sysex strings,I forgot to try this out before the courier collected it
Is this possible on the X as well?
Anybody tried it or use the X to send out Sysex Messages to your external gear
I'm not on about dumping sounds from an External synth or module to store Sysex data,I need to know if its possible to input your own Hexdecimal Values to create your own sysex Message strings, This is something i use to switch modes on some of my external synths, which the normal Midi cc parameters cannot access
