Help - should I upgrade to the mpc x?

hello everyone ... I am a new member and I follow you from Italy ... I have recently been the owner of mpc one and I wanted to ask you who are certainly more experienced than me what do you think of mpc x ??? this question is because i'm thinking of switching to mpc x for my workflow and making mpc x the heart of my production studio ... is that right? or does this expense make no sense? another important question for me, does anyone know if a new mpc is soon to be released instead of mpc x? thank you very much everyone ... I look forward to your messages hoping to be part of your forum and learn a lot.

thanks ... so would you upgrade me in my place? is there much difference between mpc one and x? is it worth the investment?

You need to look at your specific requirements, but the MPC One can still be the heart of a studio, especially with USB MIDI and audio support, it's very flexible. The MPC X is very overpriced, it was always overpriced against the MPC Live, and now it looks ridiculously expensive compared to the MPC One. You haven't given any details on what you actually need from the MPC, so I suspect the answer is 'get an MPC One'.

hello ... thanks for the help ... i already have an mpc one for a few months ... i wanted to understand what mpc x has more, such as inputs and outputs and if usb 3.0 makes so much difference and especially if with mpc x it is more complete to mix and master everything inside it ... I'm new and I hope you help me ... when should a user prefer mpc x? in which case do you recommend it? I await your message ... help !!!

They both run the same operating system so what you can do with one you can do with the other.

The I/O are different but I suspect if you needed the extra I/O you’d already know that.

I suggest saving the money and spend time mastering the one

I think the biggest differences are the x has tilting bigger screen, preamp with phantom power so you can plug in a studio mic directly, plus more inputs so you can sample from more sources without unplugging or using a patchbay, more assignable outputs, and probably the biggest difference.. it has 16 qlinks with separate screens for each which means most people don't use qlinks much on a one or live but with a x you will, and you will love them.
It also had standard size pads, people say they don't care, for me it is a big deal.. nothing wrong with the small ones, but the standard size ones I like much much better, thru just feel more right.
