Hello MPC users, I am wondering if anyone has ever encountered this issue and if you can help me here.
The problem I am having is a weird one, what happens is when I have the Wavestate connected to my MPC as a Midi track, there is a weird double-tracking going on.
It is hard to describe so I'll try my best here, when the synth is connected as just audio it works fine, I can play the synth keys and the sound is okay. But when I set it up as a midi track, with midi input coming from 'wavestate' or 'all ports' and the output is set to the wavestate, there is a double-tracking bug that occurs. It seems like the keys I press on the synth are also being triggered on the MPC pads, so for example I can press note C, which would be produced by the wavestate keyboard as well as the MPC pad, and so it produces a sound that sounds phasey. This only happens when I play using the wavestate keys, if I play using an external midi keyboard or the mpc pads no double tracking occurs. Has anyone encountered this issue before?
Edit : This is an extract from the Wavestate manual regarding local control that mentions this :
Local Control
[Off, On]
On: This is the default; the wavestate’s internal sounds will be played by the built-in keyboard and controllers. If you are playing the wavestate by itself, leave this setting checked.
Off: The wavestate’s keyboard and controllers, including the Mod Knobs, will be disconnected from the internal sounds. MIDI transmit and receive will continue to work normally. Use this setting if loop-back from an external sequencer causes duplicate notes.
