Hey all. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. The MPC is a powerhouse and I am trying to integrate it into my Keyboard rig. Been getting a little frustrated with searching for an answer and maybe the answer is no.

I read all about the MPC LiveII being able to send MSB\LSB to change programs on external synths for patch changes. What I am looking for is the exact opposite. We keep getting these great classic synth packs to add to the MPC but is PIA to have to select them manually instead of sending MSB/LSB messages to the Akai MPC LiveII and it loading up the samples like a keyboard would. With the “sneak peek” of a possible Akai keyboard sampler…you would think that this would be in the software.

Anyone doing this or have any suggestions?? If this unit is incapable of that then no is not the answer I was looking for but an answer…LOL. Trying to find a sampler unit that does this.

Help??

Download the pdf manual, Ctrl+F (find) "msb" lsb" searches.

It seems that the MPC ignores program changes when it receives them.

hmmm, never thought about sending program changes to the MPCX. As I use the MPC as, what it suppose to be, a Studio Center Piece, I would be surprised to be able to do it the other way around.
Maybe the "little" brothers and sisters of it should do so, as they are rather used as instruments.
