How do I view note number instead of note name? Meaning to have 60 displayed instead of C3. I would be using this in windows like the sampler editor where you set the root note of a sample. THANKS

While this is true for grid view and the sample assignment, if you go into list view you can see the midi note number for a midi event.

I don't think this is quite what you're looking for, but it is one of the (rare) cases where you can associate the note with the midi note number on the MPC.

In the software it's also shown on the 'pads' section. But in places where he's indicated, i.e. root note assignment on a sample or layer, it is frustratingly not an option. In the MPC4000 program editor you could dynamically toggle between musical note and MIDI note display which was great for quicker keygroup set up.
