I have an MPC Live and a PreSonus class-compliant USB2.0 interface, Audiobox 1818VSL. This has ADAT and SPDIF digital connections. I can connect to e.g. my MOTU828 over ADAT fine, inputs and outputs. Just as long as the MOTU is set to receive digital clock *from* ADAT, i.e. the MPC is the master.
However, I'd like to set the MPC as clock slave. The reason I want to do this: I want to connect devices with SPDIF outputs, and many of these devices don't have a setting to be clock slave. They assume they are clock master.
Has anyone successfully connected SPDIF outputs to an interface connected to the MPC Live? (Any interface) I get sound, but weird artifacts which I am assuming are clock-related.
Or shall I go to the wishlist thread?
Perhaps 2.11 will have a setting.
