MPC Organisation....Nuub fest continues

Just digging around trying to understand the MPC organisation.
Is this right:

When loading a sample into a project (from Vault) that sample is effectively duplicated and this duplicate now sits in the project. Let's say I rename it. Is this new clip the Master? ie it's not pointing to some other internal location in the Browser?

One you load a sample from disk, you are now working on a copy of the original disk version; this copy exists entirely within your current project and is completely independent of the original disk version.

I'm using Force, but it works the same. As a side-effect of samples getting copied to projects, if I search for samples from the whole internal SSD drive instead of just my Samples folder, the search will find all copies of the same file. Like if I've used a sample called "Deep Kick.wav" in 10 projects, and I search for "deep kick", the search will show me all of those 10 instances, AFAIK. Which can sometimes be useful.

Ah cool. Thanks. Having done a lot of Video editing it seems a bit odd to me that the samples are copied (from a space saving perspective) when added to a project. But good to know this from the outset

Yes, but at the same time, you have complete projects inside the project folder, that saved me a lot of lost work.
I prefer to have copies and don't loose anything when making backups of my projects.

For sure....there's definitely pros
