My MPC X is updated to 2.11, but my PC? How?

I followed all instructions and my X is nicely updated to 2.11. In stand alone, this works. But my laptop software still indicates 2.10 and thus in controller mode, the X is only in 2.10.

How do I update the pc software? Clicking 'check for updates ' doesn't do anything.
