Hello:

I have a question about track mutes and midi sequences on the MPC One. I'd like to use the MPC One for live midi improvisation.

I hoped that I could fire off midi sequences by muting and unmuting tracks in the "Mute Tracks" page. I kind of works. However: the tracks do not come on instantly and measure one, but may start playing at Measure 1, 2, 3, or 4 of a 4 bar midi track.

Is there a way to ensure a track starts on measure 1 when unmuted?

No, muting just cuts the sound of the track nothing more, that's why it is called muting.

The AKAI Force will do what you expect, launching different MIDI tracks independently.

Thanks mpc_fan_2022. I was thinking that the Force would handle things differently. I think I'd like to stick to the One due to the smaller footprint, but perhaps I should consider moving over to the Force. I suppose then I would lose the track pads, which I am enjoying.
