Difficult to tell, as many things can cause it. This is a digital plasitc box and it does not like overload.
Usual things to check first
- USB cable has a couple of coils (thick thing on both ends...)? Nothing to do with the export, but cheap cable = cheap results...
- Distorted by too much Duck, Compressor, etc? - do a clean export without Effects...
Maybe some other lads or ladies have more ideas.
I do not have this experience with my X.
EDIT: Playing back the export on the MPC - do you hear the crackle too?
