Hi everyone!

I am not yet an MPC User but thinking about buying a MPC X. I have a question regarding the Q Links. Is it possible to map more than 16 parameters for a VST plugin on the Q Links and save it somehow, so that this mapping is used per default each time I use this VST insert effect?

What I would love to do is to "adept" my Maschine workflow, where I can have assign arbitrary many parameters to the 8 knobs and simply switch pages/banks to access all them. I can fully define which know on which page controls which parameter, which is a super flexible system.

E.g. if I have an VST EQ with 6 bands, each with 4 important parameters (frequency, gain, Q, type) I would need at least 24 controls/knobs to lay out all of them (probably even more for more global EQ settings etc.). On Maschine I can use 3 pages of controls and use every 4 knobs to control one EQ band fully. I can store this as the default settings and every time I load this EQ this configuration will be used.

This way I use a lot of my plugins and my muscle memory loves it :)

Can I achieve something like that on the MPC X or is it limited to 16 parameters per VST?

Currently I am testing it in the MPC Beats software but I can not figure out, how to achieve it. E.g. I have a waves R-EQ with 6 bands. The one Q-Link mode that comes closest to what I need it the Screen mode I guess? But as far as I see the parameters are fixed, I can not configure them and they are mapped very randomly. And I don't see how to access bands 4, 5 and 6 in there since I don't know if there is a way to access more parameters and if so, how to switch these Q-Link banks/pages.

It would be super helpful if you could give me more information about how to use them and how you utilize them in you workflows.

Hello

Standalone wise.. For the instruments plugin only:

you can : assign 16 parameters max

In screen mode these are automapped presets for each different pluginm
For the instruments plugins In QLINK PROGRAM mode you can map them as you want, save the program and it will be available as a template you can use with any preset of this plugin in any project
So you can have 8 different plugin programs per project all with their own "q links program mode mapped"

THEN

- you can map other parameters in "project mode" , giving you 16 more project level q links, saved with project.

THEN
You can MIDI LEARN any other parameters using an external Midi or USB/midi controller sending Cc values.

These one are Saved with the project

So you have the possibility to imitate your workflow, but with the limitations of 8 instruments plugins, ( but not for fx, the problem will be the CPU/ Ram usage)
