Hi
I've got a mark1 Live, running the 2.11.3 firmware. I'm looking to install alternative firmware to open up the global MIDI controls, but it looks like I need network access to do that, and I can't get my Live to find any wifi network at all. When I go to the wifi pref page and turn it on - nothing happens.
Am I missing something obvious here? Is there another switch somewhere that I need to enable? Or is it just that (a) the MPC wifi is flakey or (b) there's something wrong with my unit? (I've had it for several years but never bothered looking into any network connection stuff, so I wouldn't have known anyway.)
If I can't get wifi working, then I'm guessing a USB/ethernet adapter might be the best bet? Any quirks I need to be aware of there, or will anything do? (I don't think the alt firmware need to remain connected to a network to function, just to load/update the controller configuration files.)
Thanks - I did post a Q about this on Gearspace but no replies, so I guess it might just be me/my unit.
